And wow. She thought she grew out of this, but look at her now, being lectured by a wizard. This is a really good question though: why would she want to live without something when she can have it?]

I don't think that's it... But. [ He pauses. ] Here is definitely easier though. I can actually have a day off, and it isn't every day something or someone tries to kill me. It's been a nice change, honestly.

[ What he doesn't mention is that he'd taken a poison for him and was on his deathbed for that reason... ah. ] If he did something like that, there was hope, wasn't there? It's been getting easier over the past year.

I don't really know, it's probably more that when you grow up with a Power-driven father you can't help but pick up some of his habits, I guess. He was also a bully when I first met him so...

We don't follow the same calendar as what's used here. I'd say something like 19 Winters? For Arthur it's probably 20?

Not the same, but that sounds very similar to how a year works. There are only four seasons where you are from, no? So 19 years, and 20 years?

Exactly. I had to try and work it out, but that seemed the most accurate. [ A beat. ] It could still be wrong.

[She waves her hand vaguely.] Probably not as wrong as you think. Give or take one year? At least you are still over eighteen, it makes things a little easier.
