[ her head just drops and her eyes focus (as much as she can, anyway) at his feet. ]

What are you doing down there? I'm sleepy.

[ His head lowers as he tries to see her face. ]

It's late. Are you staying? Or do you want me to take you to your apartment?

[ It's endearing though, she's cute like this. ]

[ her shoulders tense and she almost jumps when she realises that his face isn't on the floor. ]

Woah! There you are! I was looking for you!

[ that doesn't answer his question... ]

Let's go to bed.

How much did you drink? [ It's a soft mumble when she obviously doesn't know up from down. Then, he reaches to pull her arms up around his neck then lifts her up against himself. ]

C'mon.

[ she ends up leaning on him immediately, relaxing into him when he does that. but then she ends up putting some of her fingers in her mouth. ah... ]

[ Jesus... why is this happening???? ]

Did you get some?

[ He uses magic to flick the button to open his door, though thankfully his sheets are already pulled back so he can just sit her on the bed and take off her shoes. ]

[ she doesn't say anything, but instead replies with a shake of her head. the food in the bar was already really expensive, and while they did have finger food there, it definitely wasn't enough since she got hungry towards the end of their night. ]

[ Once she's on the bed he brushes her hair aside. ]

Did you still want some? I can run out.

[ Even if it's like 2am... some places are 24/7 ]

[ she nods immediately, like some kind of child getting offered a ton of candy. she probably should have just stopped by the cerealian equivalent of a 7-11, but she didn't... really... think of that. ]

[ He kisses her forehead then, trying to not laugh ]

[ He just lets her rest there though while he grabs a pair of jeans from his closet, trying to change quickly so he can run back quickly. ]

[ her eyes follow him around the room as he moves around, as if wondering where he's going. why is he leaving so late at night??? but she doesn't ask that, instead flops on his bed and wiggles her way out of her blazer. ]

Call me when you're out... I want to hear your voice.

[ She wanted food?!?!?! He almost trips up while pulling on his shoe as she says that because his head snaps up to look at her. ]

I won't be gone long...?

[ she's just looking at the fairy lights in his room. ]

Why is there a tree? Are we in a forest?

[ He smiles at her then, finally having his shoes on. ]

Something like that. Just try and sleep until I'm back okay?

[ He leans to kiss her briefly on the mouth then, before pulling away. ]

No! [ it's an immediate protest, and she starts flailing her arms and kicking at the bed. this... is definitely a tantrum. (unsure) ] No, no, no! If I sleep then that means I'm time travelling! And you know time travelling isn't real!

No? [ He ends up laughing softly at that, hand moving to pat her leg. ]

Isn't it?

[ Ah... don't tease the drunk girl, Merlin. ]

[ she rolls on her side so she can look at him, thoroughly unamused. ]

It's not real. You can't do that, you know? And if I end up time travelling [ you just said it's not real, athena... ], then I can't see you until I wake up. It makes no sense.

[ He leans to kiss her forehead then. ]

But you can see me in your dreams, right?

[ well, that's true, but it's not enough. not for... drunk athena, apparently. she shakes her head and starts kicking again. ]

But it's not the same. You wouldn't know because you've probably never dreamt of hugging yourself before, or just laying on a field with your arms around you. It's not warm, and it doesn't feel right. And when you eat in your dreams, you aren't full when you wake up.

[ He leans his arms on the bed as he looks at her. ]

But aren't you hungry?

Oh! I am.

[ thanks for reminding her. she gets up now and tries to walk to the door. ]

Ah-- [ God... he needs a leash for this girl ]

Wait, your shoes... I took them off already.

[psycholawgy]

[ oh. she looks down at her feet, tilting her head a bit. why are her feet down there??? ]

That's okay. You didn't take my feet off.

Okay-- [ He just turns her back towards the bed then. ]

Whyyyy don't I call for delivery instead?

[ Because he can't take her out when she's like this. ] Did you drink any water?

[ she turns back around to just wrap her arms around him, practically latching onto him like a koala. ]
